Volunteer Opportunities

Stone Garden Farm is an organic farm that is being transformed into a museum of living history which will include 32 shops, crafts and trades practiced in the 1800′s. The museum is a creation in progress with opportunities for people of all skill levels to engage in activities to help save Ohio’s farm history.

In order of priority. Skilled and unskilled laborers needed.

Electric lines to weaving shop, blacksmith shop, Reverend Searle’s farm barn, the school house and  sawmill.

Foundation footers for Weymouth barn.

Cement floor for blacksmith shop and cider mill.

Painting

Garmen House, blacksmith shop, windmill from Hart farm and several tractors.

Artists and Craftsmen to teach and practice trades.

Historians to record and document artifacts.

Fundraisers to help provide financial support.

Technical support with web site.

Barn Raising for Ledge Road barn, Weymouth barn and Davis barn – second weekend of each month. July 8th,  Aug. 12th, Sept. 9th  and Oct. 14th, 2006.

Volunteer Orientation Socials

Held on the fourth Sunday of each month. Enjoy food, drink, music and informative discussion. Potluck style meal with beverages provided.

Volunteer “behind the scenes” tours

Held every Wednesday evening at 7pm, and Sunday afternoons at 1pm.
